15 Minutes of FAME is the FAME Flagship’s monthly open morning coffee webinar series in which the Flagship’s researchers and partners offer snapshots into their current scientific work and activities within the FAME network.
This webinar will be presented by Professor Tuuli Toivonen (University of Helsinki).
Toivonen’s research focuses on understanding dynamics of people, places, and their interactions, with open/big data, spatial analytics, and machine learning approaches playing an important role. Her European Research Council grant project GREENTRAVEL combines advanced mapping and spatial modelling of environmental exposure during everyday trips to controlled experimentations in VR. Toivonen’s multidisciplinary Digital Geography Lab research team contributes to a wide range of research from urban geography, land use and transport planning to sustainability and conservation science.
Grab your morning coffee and kickstart your day with us on the first Thursday of every month to hear more about how FAME shapes the future with mathematics, physics, and computing!
