The University of Helsinki’s Digital Geography Lab research group aims at understanding society through interactions between people, and between people and their environment, from a geographical perspective. Its work contributes to a wide range of research from urban geography, land use and transport planning to sustainability and conservation science.
From early on, the multidisciplinary research group has been focusing on advancing spatial big data research for fair and sustainable societies. This anniversary seminar will present the current research of the lab, commentaries from key stakeholders, and provide glimpses of the past and the future.
The seminar is split into morning and afternoon sessions. You are welcome to attend both!
Attendance is free.
