Inverse Days 2025 in Helsinki: Registration now open!

Since 1997, Finland’s active inverse problems community has been formally organised around the Finnish Inverse Problems Society (FIPS). Bringing together mathematicians, physicists, and engineers, FIPS pursues to facilitate and foster research collaboration in inverse problems across Finnish academia and industry. The FAME Flagship traces its roots to this long-lasting national ecosystem as well.

Ever since the beginning, FIPS has organised inverse problems conferences as its annual scientific meeting. From the humble beginnings of a one-day workshop of around 20 people in the mid-1990s, the Inverse Days meeting has since evolved into a multi-day international conference and highlight of the year for Finland’s inverse problems experts and students.

The next Inverse Days conference will be organised on 15-17 December, 2025, by the University of Helsinki. With the historical University of Helsinki Main Building as its venue, this year’s event takes place at the very heart of the Helsinki City Centre near the Finnish capital’s most iconic sights, vibrant food scene, and Festive Season’s hallmarks.

Registration for the Inverse Days 2025 is now open until 7 November. For more information and event registration, please visit FIPS’ conference website.
