JYU Business Networking Day: Building bridges in the Finnish Lakeland region

The University of Jyväskylä organised its annual Business Networking Day on Wednesday, 1 October in Jyväskylä’s Paviljonki Congress Centre. With almost 70 organisations as exhibitors, the event provided ample opportunities for companies, stakeholders, and researchers to meet and interact.

In addition to traditional exhibition area, the event included keynote talks and themed sessions for the participating organisations to introduce their work to the public. The first session of the day, which included a series of elevator pitches under the theme of imaging and measurement technologies, saw also an introduction to the FAME Flagship’s activities and mission by Professor Aku Ursin (University of Eastern Finland). The talk highlighted FAME’s scientific expertise and its significance in finding solutions to today’s pressing challenges, introduced the audience to the vast network of the Flagship’s collaborators, and invited all sectors of the society to be a part in FAME’s future-oriented work for Finland’s economic progress and global wellbeing.

Outside of themed sessions, FAME was also present in the exhibition area to meet eventgoers, network with companies and stakeholders, and facilitate discussions and spontaneous Eureka! moments.

The FAME Flagship wishes to thank the University of Jyväskylä for organising this valuable event and continues to actively seek new collaborations for the betterment of tomorrow!
