15 Minutes of FAME is the FAME Flagship’s monthly open morning coffee webinar series in which the Flagship’s researchers and partners offer snapshots into their current scientific work and activities within the FAME network.

This webinar will be presented by Professor Marko Vauhkonen (University of Eastern Finland).

Tomographic imaging is a powerful tool that can be applied not only for monitoring, but also for controlling industrial processes. In this presentation, a case study is introduced in which Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) is employed to control microwave drying at an industrial scale. The research was conducted in collaboration with Vötch Industrietechnik GmbH, Pinta Elements GmbH, and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany.

Grab your morning coffee and kickstart your day with us on the first Thursday of every month to hear more about how FAME shapes the future with mathematics, physics, and computing!
